About the Club
Centurion Camera Club brings together photography enthusiasts from across Centurion and surrounding areas. Our members range from complete beginners to highly experienced photographers, creating an environment where knowledge, creativity and friendship are shared freely.
We enjoy all genres of photography and encourage members to explore new techniques, develop their skills and grow their confidence behind the camera.

Who Can Join?
Membership is open to anyone with an interest in photography.
Our members include beginners, hobbyists, and experienced photographers. If you’re eager to learn, improve your photography, and enjoy spending time with like-minded people, you’ll fit right in.
Do I need professional equipment?
Not at all.
Many members start with entry-level cameras, and some begin using equipment they already own.
We encourage newcomers to spend time learning photography before investing in expensive gear. As your skills develop, you’ll have a better understanding of what equipment best suits your interests.
You’ll also find plenty of experienced members willing to offer advice – and you can always thank them with some chocolates!
Our Meetings
The club generally meets twice a month, excluding December. Meetings alternate between:

- Social and Educational Evenings
Venue details are shared with members and guests through the Club WhatsApp group.
Monthly Competitions
Competitions are designed to encourage growth, creativity and constructive feedback.
Members may submit images in:
- Nature
- Open

- Photojournalism & Sport
- Monthly Theme
Images are evaluated by a panel of judges who provide feedback and scoring. Outstanding images are recognised during the evening.
